Building a Campfire

  1. Select a site 8′ from combustibles. Use rocks or logs to create a perimeter.
  2. Lay kindling in layers over crumpled paper. Light the paper to start the fire.
  3. Add firewood when kindling is ablaze. Distribute evenly.
  4. Grade coals into high, medium, and low levels for cooking.
  5. Extinguish fire thoroughly with water before leaving.
